Good to Meet You

I’m Olesya – a wife, mom, photographer and artist in the Corpus Christi, TX area. Peeking into my Dad`s dark room as a child, sparked my interest in the magical world of photography.

If you’re a mom, like me, you know only too well that the most beautiful moments are fleeting:

  • The first time you feel your baby inside you, kick
  • The first time you look into your newborn’s eyes
  • The first smile, rolling over, sitting up, and crawling
  • The first steps, first words, first day of school
  • And so much more…

You will never forget any of these things, but sometimes it’s hard to remember all the details.

I know you’re here for a reason – because you believe (as I do) that photography really matters and can add depth and meaning to life – not just today, but years down the road.

Someday, your children will be all grown up, and they won’t remember everything you told them about their childhood.

When that time comes, you’ll want photographs that succeeded in capturing the joy and love of those early years, which you can then share with your grandchildren, and their grandchildren.

You know that you’re not going to get that from someone who just “takes your picture”. You want to capture – in all its glory – the beauty of your child or your family right now, because everything will have changed by tomorrow.

Tomorrow will bring another milestone, or another adventure, but “today” will have become “yesterday”, “last week”, “last month”, or “last year”.

One of the great things you can expect from me is to make you laugh, smile, and see the love you have for each other in your eyes.

Through my passion for photography, I see the “real” you through my lens, so that you can take those precious moments and share them with the world.

  • When did you start photography? I`ve been photographing my family and friends for more than 10 years. Started my photography business in 2013.
  • Do you have a degree in photography? I was fortunate to get a degree in Fine Arts with multiple classes in Graphic and Web Design from PRATT Institute in New York City.
  • Did you always love art? Yes! I was discovered by my school art teacher, she recommended to my parents for me to complete an exam for acceptance to Art School for Kids in Russia.  After passing exam on the first attempt I was immediately placed in the third grade of the Art School, I graduated from it while attending regular school. And my journey as an artist began…
  • Who inspired you to become a photographer? My Dad. One of my first childhood memories was of my dad developing images and hanging them to dry on a cloth line in the basement turned darkroom at night. It seemed magical; this inspired me to pick up a camera as soon as I was able to afford one.

Life is an awfully big adventure …
